Formative Assessment Module 2

Objective: The learner will share with the Google + community at least 5 slides from a lecture presentation that they feel have increased cognitive load and identify where the increased cognitive load is present.

Assignment description:

Using your new skills in identifying increased cognitive load please select a lecture presentation (PowerPoint, Keynote, Google, etc) that possess at least 5 instances of increased cognitive load. Your submission should clearly identify where the increased cognitive load occurred and what type of cognitive load this was (intrinsic, extraneous, or germane). Hopefully you will select a lecture that you feel is a major point or section of your course, but if that is not possible that is okay.

Your submission should be in the form of a presentation (PowerPoint, Keynote, Google, PDF) that can be shared with the Google + community. Your submission should also include a descriptive component consisting of a 200-500 word essay that identifies how your selections are evidence of increased cognitive load and what type of load is being presented.
